Since we have had some computer problems in the last week, we have accumulated some pictures. I decided to just move forward since well, we have a gigantic library of photos (I am crazy and have a camera strapped to me at all times). Last weekend, Houston had a huge Dog Show at the Reliant Center. This is the largest show we have here at least. We wanted to stay longer and support Pug Hearts but it was a busy weekend and we were only able to stay for an hour. Pug Hearts, THE Houston Pug Rescue was there and had a beautiful booth with lots of pictures of rescued Pugs. Pork & Brown had a ball of fun.
Here’s the boys in the car on the way there. Pork’s tank somehow became a crop top…
We saw this huge poodle at the grooming contest area…she looked like a scary warrior.
The poodles companion…
After doing a full around, the boys got tired and cooled off…
Well rested and cooled off, Porky was curious at the big Pug…
The big “Pug” was this cute Mastiff. They are so cute…they kind of look like big Pugs to me with their black face and fawn body. (Yes, I may stand alone on this.)
Here’s another dog we saw at the grooming contest area. We snap the face (shown below)…is this considered good grooming? The eyes are in there…
We met another Mastiff on the way out but the boys were not too interested…no flat face, we are not interested!
Awe…at last, they met two other Puggies (shown below) and were in love! They sniffed and sniffed…both sets of Pugs really liked the other. Hope they come to our Pug Meetup!

How cute is this serpant toy from Ikea? The boys really love it. For some reason, they like to wrap it around themselves and lay their head/chin on the body. Weirdo Puggies…more pictures to come. There is something wrong with my laptop (which is why there is no posting this week) after I reformated so will have to do it again to get rid of errors. Meanwhile, enjoy these cute pictures of Porky and Brownie. Brownie got so tired of fighting for the serpant…he could barely keep his eyes open. This is why I love Pugs!

As most of you who read our blog know, we have been grooming Pork & Brown at home these days. We like doing a thorough detail of both dogs to ensure their coats are clean and soft, but more importantly, clean ears, folds, and mouth. I have done some research on the reasons for runny eyes and tear stains (medically referred to as Epiphora). Basically, the bacteria or yeast growth, particularly an organism called ”red yeast” (causes the red/brownish stain color and possibly unpleasant odor) thrive on moisture and are attracted to the tear ducts in the eyes. Dogs with eye lash and eyelid problems, and dogs doomed by their genetics from their shallow eye sockets, have faulty tear drainage anatony. Since Puggies have folds (which are fun to clean), this adds to the problem because the trapped moisture and tears can lead to bacterial infection in the folds and muzzle. I found a great article about this on VeterinaryPartner.com. Click here to read it.
EyePack to the rescue! Say goodbye to unsightly eye stains and grubby muzzles! I am so excited about these two products as I have been wishing for something to make the eye stain go away and ease up muzzle cleaning. The EyePads and EyeMunity not only keeps your dog’s eyes healthy and clean, but also improve the overall immune system as the main ingredient in the EyeMunity is Epicor, an ingredient proven in clinical studies to have antioxidant properties. All ingredients are human grade! If you buy the EyePack which has both these cool products, you save $4. So cool!
Basic tips: Give your Puggy fresh water (distilled), use stainless steel bowls, and keep their eyes clean (and area around the eyes like folds and muzzle) and dry everyday.

I found the boys like this in the morning. They are seriously in love with Porky’s new Woodie Car Bed.
(Both boys slept very soundly and had beautiful Pug dreams…sleeping alone on this bed!)
“This bed was comfy Mom but would have been better without the brat kicking at me.” (PORKY)
“Is it morning already?” (BROWNIE)
“What’s for breakfast Mom? I want milk with my dry crappy dog food. Make that lowfat milk.” (PORKY)
“Hey, I did not get beat up last night. Cool.” (BROWNIE)
“I want my own car bed Mom. I slept GOOOOOD.” (BROWNIE)
Brownie’s bed was empty.

Porky & Brownie use to share the same bed until the nightmares started about a month or two ago. We are still not sure who is having the nightmare (but think it’s Pork). In the middle of the night, Porky will abruptly get up and try to kill Brownie. We usually have to get up and break it up.
So for the last 2 years, the boys slept and napped together everyday…one day (about a few weeks ago) Porky pulled one of his nested beds from the living room to the bedroom next to their Dad (yes, they are spoiled and have tons of beds all over the house for their lounging pleasure and convenience). Pork just recently moved his nested pillow next to my new mirrow….seriously right next to it. I am guessing that he moved it because it is scary sleeping across from a huge mirrow. Brownie had the old bed and his crate bed all to himself. So I got Porky a new Woodie Car Bed from FunnyFur.com (of course). Now both boys are fighting over this new bed and Brownie won’t get off it. We moved Brownie backed to his bed several times only to find him back on the car bed, and seriously squishing Pork. I sat on the bed to see if it was that comfortable…I guess it is. They are loving this new car bed plus the cute red surf toy that came with it…it’s got a cool squeaker that the boys are both obsessed with.
“Why does Porky get the new bed and I don’t? (BROWNIE)
“Mom needs to clean this mirrow.” (BROWNIE)
“Why am I gettting squished in my bed? The kid needs to stop hogging all the beds and toys…I am so sleepy.” (PORKY)
“I LOVE this toy! It squeaks and is so soft!…This bed is cool and comfy. Fat ass needs to get off” (BROWNIE)
Two is a crowd…but they both want this bed and we got tired of pulling Brownie back to his own bed.
Brownie went to sleep with the toy in his mouth. Porky was smashed in but continued to sleep soundly. They are loving this new bed.

Everydoggy, have a wonderful 4th of July! Don’t forget to stay in and away from the fireworks! We all get terrified at the sounds of fireworks but here are some tips for your parents for tonight to avoid causing you stress. (If the link does not work, go to http://dogs.thefuntimesguide.com/2006/07/dogs_fireworks_4th_of_july.php)
PS – We are terrified of the sound of fireworks…does any Puggy or dog actually like it? I mean our hearing is 10 (yes, 10!!!) times more sensitive to our humans!

I love posing in my new clothes! Mainly because Mom enjoys taking pictures of me and then she gives me lots of treats. This sleeveless Tobey Lilysweats hoodie is my favorite out of the recent clothes Mom got me. I love wearing red!
Everydoggy, hope you are having a great weekend!
