Which Pug Looks Better in Their New Hoodie?

August 18th, 2009 at 7:49 pm

I used to think people who dress their kids and dogs alike were weird…but after getting the boys the same outfits a few times, I can’t help myself.  They just look too darn cute!  I got Porky and Brownie each a new House of Juicy Hoodie by Juicy Couture.  Which Pug looks better in their new Juicy hoodie?

Quality Time With BeBe

August 15th, 2009 at 7:47 pm

We miss Puddles and Bebe.  Luckily she got to spend the day with us.  All three Pugs and Chihuahua ran and played in the backyard.  They had a blast and then came in for some treats.  What a great day!

Snowing in Houston? Cold Puggies got new fleece Rain Coats

December 18th, 2008 at 8:16 pm

I am still in disbelief that it snowed here in Houston last week.  It was 33-36 degrees here last week.  The weather is weird with the extreme hot, then cold and freezing, then warm…during all this, we have rain which comes sporadically through the day, whenever it feels like.  I was worried about Porky & Brownie catching a cold since I noticed their appetites have not been that great the last few days plus they both have wet, drippy noses.  This is their first time in such cold weather.

I got Brownie a Seattle Slicker Rain Vest in large and am waiting on the backorder for a size XL for Porky.  I am in love with this jacket.  It has a detachable hood which buttons down to the top of the jacket so the hood doesn’t fall forward and cover his eyes.  The fleece inside is super soft, warm, and fits Brownie’s deep Pug chest very good.  We love the detachable water resistant shell since we can take it off when we get in the house and not get water everywhere and Brownie can still wear the fleece to stay warm.  It’s got a strong magnet on the back of the shell and the fleece so if the wind is blowing or when they are running, the vest stays in tact and keeps them warm.  I love the drawstring toggles on each of the sides since Pugs tend to have girthy chest but skinny waist.  This makes the vest look more fitted for them and keep the warmth in.  Whenever Brownie lifts his leg to pee, the bottom and sides of the vest don’t flap around.  This rain vest jacket is just the best!  Brownie is definitely more willing to go outside for walks.  He doesn’t like to go otside if it is cold, wet or raining.  The hubby usually is not a huge fan of me dressing up the Pugs but even he loves this rain vest. He keeps asking me when Porky’s going to get his size xl rain vest!

More good news…this rain vest just went on sale for $39.99!  Yippy!

It’s 30 degrees in the morning and freezing…Brownie was so excited to wear his new rain vest.  He actually wanted to go outside!

Brownie got some rain on his vest but didn’t seem to mind at all.

Yup he’s peeing.

Since Porky was cold and did not have his size XL yet, I put on his Tobey Lilysweats hoodie. As you can tell, he’s put on some winter weight.

Fun Day Out with Our Buddy Belts, Best Dog Harness Ever!

February 25th, 2008 at 6:33 pm

It’s been cold, cloudy, and/or raining the last few months so we have not been able to take the Puggies out for their usualy walks and play dates at the dog park. Porky and Brownie love sunny days and lounging/basking in the sun. The weather was great today so out we went for a long walk. P & B were very excited to be out and met a new friend and neighbor.

Our communty faux lake has turtles, seagulls, and birds! Porky and Brownie loves playing with them but we try to leave them alone. The last time a frog (yes, there are tons of frogs here in our yard) was near the walkway, Brownie try to introduce himself and get to know the frog but accidentally injured him. His paw was too powerful. We put the injured frog in the garage and gave him water. He recovered and lived in our garage for a month or so. I saw him every morning when I left for work. At night, he ventured out. I figured he found a way into the garage without my help. It was interesting.

This is our neighbor Buster. He’s actually really nice and playful but he was getting choked by his collar. We hope his Dad gets him a Buddy Belt and then he can pull without an angry face.

Brownie LOVES to be outside…he’s an outdoor Puggy. Look at that smile!

Brownie had to stop and poop…Porky stopped and waited. How sweet!

We use to go crazy trying to teach the boys to walk nice since they would pull hard like they were sled dogs and then choke nonstop. But now that we have the Buddy Belts dog harness, it’s all good and we don’t feel guilty about pulling on them. It’s made for small dogs to save their neck and prevent damage to the trachea. Other harnesses still have pressure on the front chest (Pugs are deep chested) so it’s still choking against them when they pull on the leash. These Buddy Belts are different as the pressure is placed on the front legs (they step into the Buddy Belt and you buckle the belt on top). Neato! We love love love the Buddy Belts! This is our favorite for Puggies. You can buy them at FunnyFur.com and tell them Porky and Brownie sent you!

These turtles are so smart. Everytime someone walks by, they go back in the water so I had to take this from way far away. Too cute! I am a nature lover. It’s so beautiful. The leaves and trees are changing colors for Spring…so pretty. We have a great day.
