After living in Texas for four years, the Texas pride has caught up with me. It’s hard not to get into the spirit of being a Texan. Lots of decorative items to show our Texan pride. I had to get this Bunky Starin red as it reminded me of the Texas star which a big thing here…we (heart) Texas. (We secretly miss California though)
The Bunky Star is made by These Creatures. They make lots of cool leash hooks and decorative hanging feeders. Aside from being a great work of art on your wall, it helps improve digestion (less air intake during eating and they don’t have to strain their neck). We are saving up for the Pug feeder. It’s so cute and Porky does have lots of gas. Poor Porky has had so many digestive issues, it’s caused a huge dent in his Puggybank. He just loves to in hale food and does not understand that he has a sensitive tummy. Perhaps it’s good he doesn’t know that Brownie’s stomach is like a furnace and he never has problems. Anyways, it comes in two Pug designs and many colors. I have plenty of time to choose the color while I save up…Porky deserves a new feeder! (Cross your paws and fingers that Porky doesn’t get sick or cause anymore Pug shenanigans)

I could not resist and had to get a Marty Pug Pillow by Pillow Pillow Pillow. It’s 100% organic and although a little on the pricey side, it’s a great Pug collectable. I have so much Pug stuff that I said why not…and who could resist the charm of the big Pug face on a pillow!

What is it about Pug people that makes us crazy for all things Pugly?! If someone came and saw all of my Pug stuff, they would think I am an obsessed freak. Ironically, I did not buy most of the Pug stuff. It’s all gifts from friends, family, and acquaintances. Even people I don’t know well like to buy me Pug stuff. They simply get a kick out of it and know that I will appreciate it.
A while back, I posted the pics of the Pug slippers, car accessories, Pug pillows, and a few other “main stream” Pug stuff. I got some homemade Pug art from my brother John.
My friend and coworker sent me some Pugly stuff for “Happy Boss’s Day”. I love this holiday! Here is pic. The mummy Pug card is from John and his girlfriend Stephanie. Thanks guys!

We are currently working with pet apparel and accessories designer Chi WOW WOW on a few ideas for charity charms, where proceeds will go to the breed specific rescues. One of the designs for the charms has Porky’s face on it. We are playing around with the saying on it. What do you think is a cool Pug saying or motto?

I found the boys like this in the morning. They are seriously in love with Porky’s new Woodie Car Bed.
(Both boys slept very soundly and had beautiful Pug dreams…sleeping alone on this bed!)
“This bed was comfy Mom but would have been better without the brat kicking at me.” (PORKY)
“Is it morning already?” (BROWNIE)
“What’s for breakfast Mom? I want milk with my dry crappy dog food. Make that lowfat milk.” (PORKY)
“Hey, I did not get beat up last night. Cool.” (BROWNIE)
“I want my own car bed Mom. I slept GOOOOOD.” (BROWNIE)
Brownie’s bed was empty.

Porky & Brownie use to share the same bed until the nightmares started about a month or two ago. We are still not sure who is having the nightmare (but think it’s Pork). In the middle of the night, Porky will abruptly get up and try to kill Brownie. We usually have to get up and break it up.
So for the last 2 years, the boys slept and napped together everyday…one day (about a few weeks ago) Porky pulled one of his nested beds from the living room to the bedroom next to their Dad (yes, they are spoiled and have tons of beds all over the house for their lounging pleasure and convenience). Pork just recently moved his nested pillow next to my new mirrow….seriously right next to it. I am guessing that he moved it because it is scary sleeping across from a huge mirrow. Brownie had the old bed and his crate bed all to himself. So I got Porky a new Woodie Car Bed from FunnyFur.com (of course). Now both boys are fighting over this new bed and Brownie won’t get off it. We moved Brownie backed to his bed several times only to find him back on the car bed, and seriously squishing Pork. I sat on the bed to see if it was that comfortable…I guess it is. They are loving this new car bed plus the cute red surf toy that came with it…it’s got a cool squeaker that the boys are both obsessed with.
“Why does Porky get the new bed and I don’t? (BROWNIE)
“Mom needs to clean this mirrow.” (BROWNIE)
“Why am I gettting squished in my bed? The kid needs to stop hogging all the beds and toys…I am so sleepy.” (PORKY)
“I LOVE this toy! It squeaks and is so soft!…This bed is cool and comfy. Fat ass needs to get off” (BROWNIE)
Two is a crowd…but they both want this bed and we got tired of pulling Brownie back to his own bed.
Brownie went to sleep with the toy in his mouth. Porky was smashed in but continued to sleep soundly. They are loving this new bed.

The Nintendo Nintendogs game caught my eye a few months ago at Game Stop. Afer a few months of looking at it (I have not played any video games since high school), I finally decided to get it. I was too curious about getting a virtual Puggy. Plus, who could resist a pink colored Nintendo DS Lite? So cute! I also got Yoshi’s Island and Cooking Mama. I am planning on cooking some Japanese style fried chicken after playing Cooking Mama. In the game, you follow step by step cooking instructions so it’s cool for someone like me, who does not cook often and could use some coaching in the kitchen. Cooking Mama is pretty cool for those who like a simple video game about cooking. It teaches you some basic recipes, how to prepare them from beginning (like cracking an egg and mixing ingredients), how to cook them in the pan (gives you tricks on how to cook evenly, move the pan, and add other ingredients/seasoning), and most importantly, it instills the need for precision while being time efficient. For example, when making an omelet (which is one of the recipes it teaches), if you don’t add the ingredients quickly at the right time and place, while continuing to spring the pan up and down, then fold right away, your omelet will burn, and have to be thrown away.
Here is Boogey, our new virtual family member. He is a quiet and easy going male Pug puppy. He has learned to sit, lay down, and roll over. He acts just like Brownie, except he (Boogey) can do tricks. All of his behavior and antics are very Pugly. The game creators did an awesome job!
